This corner of Kathmandu is renowned for its mountain biking, but it also has a number of fairly level roads and jeep tracks, which are a perfect for discovering the pretty villages of rural Nepal.

Within a short time you can visit the small town of Pharping, which has several Buddhist monasteries, and the Dakshinkali temple.

We have no bikes for hire at the hotel, but they can easily be arranged in Thamel in central Kathmandu. You may also want to start early in the morning and ride to Neydo Choeling Monastery from Kathmandu instead of taking a bus or taxi. There are some uphill climbs, but it is possible.
